Social Media Competitions

1. General

spacegeneral.co.nz, from time to time, may conduct a ‘social media competition’ (also referred to as giveaways) on their social media accounts as @spacegeneral. spacegeneral.co.nz is “the promoter” of social media competitions. From time to time, a ‘Third Party Promoter’ may partner with spacegeneral.co.nz to undertake a social media competition. By participating and/or entering into a social media competition, or interacting with social media posts, it is considered acceptance of these terms and conditions.

2. Entrants

Only New Zealand residents over the age of 18 years are eligible to take part in social media competitions and are referred to as ‘Eligible Entrants’. Eligible Entrants may enter once to win the prize specified in the competition post description. If multiple entries are permitted, this will be stated in the post description. Eligible entrants must provide their first name, last name, email address or contact number, and a New Zealand postal delivery address. No purchase is required to enter into the competition unless stated otherwise in the post description; however, your entry must meet all criteria to be an eligible entry.

3. Entry Period

The social media competition will run for a specified period known as the ‘Competition Period,’ stated in the competition post description. No entries will be accepted before or after the competition period. The Promoter takes no responsibility for lost, misdirected entries or inaccurate information due to delays or failures in any equipment, technical error, deletion of data entry, transmission communication, software failure, website access, or any other cause outside their control. The Promoter or Third Party Promoter reserves the right to amend or delay the competition period without notice due to unforeseen circumstances.

4. How to Enter

Eligible entrants can only submit one entry on either Instagram or Facebook. Multiple entries across Instagram or Facebook will be considered as one entry only. Eligible entries can visit spacegeneral's Facebook page or Instagram account and follow the instructions in the competition post description. You do not need to purchase or be a customer of spacegeneral.co.nz, unless stated otherwise in the competition post description.

5. Prize Draw and Notification

Eligible entries will be in to win the specified prize stated in the social media post description. Eligible entries will be assigned a random number and the winner will be selected through a random number generator unless stated otherwise in the post description. The winner or winners will be selected within 48 hours of the competition period. spacegeneral.co.nz reserves the right to delay the selection of a winner or winners. The Facebook winner will be contacted within 48 hours of the competition period ending through a reply to comment on the post and/or directly through Facebook Messenger, unless otherwise stated in the post description. The Instagram winner will be contacted within 48 hours of the competition period ending through a reply to comment on the post and/or directly through Instagram Direct, unless otherwise stated in the post description. The winner must respond to spacegeneral.co.nz through Facebook Messenger or Instagram Direct with the required information as stated in section 2 to claim the prize. If the winner or winners do not respond to claim the prize within 24 hours, the Promoter may redraw winners following the above process. If the specified prize cannot be provided to the winner, the Promoter will notify the winner and provide a prize of equal value. The Promoter reserves the right to verify each winner’s entry and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with or subverts the competition, including but not limited to acting or attempting to act in a fraudulent or dishonest manner.

6. Miscellaneous

Competitions run through spacegeneral.co.nz’s social media accounts are in no way endorsed, sponsored, or administrated by Facebook or Instagram. @spacegeneral.co.nz is the official Instagram account and @spacegeneral.co.nz is the official Facebook page. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, update, or change any of the terms applying to social media competitions or modify, terminate, or reschedule the social media competition at any time. The Promoter's decisions in relation to the social media competition are final and correspondence will not be entered into. The Promoter, their related companies, and their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, licensees, representatives, advertising, and promotional agencies shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or personal injury (including but not limited to direct, indirect, or consequential loss) suffered by any person arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with entering the social media competition or claiming, winning, or using any prize, except as required by law.

Winner announcements will only be made via our official Instagram/Facebook posts and stories, not in comments. Data privacy is important to us; your information will only be used for the purposes of the competition and will not be shared with third parties.
